Fringe Rocked! Thanks to Our Friends and Fans
What's up Chicago and World!
NMTC and the cast of Texas Chainsaw Musical had a great time at the Chicago Fringe festival. A lot of fun and TCM rocked the joint!
We had great crowds and a great time. Honky Tonk BBQ was delicious. Fringe Central was a great place to spend an evening with friends. We met some great artists and the organizers were fabulous to work with.
Thanks to the EP Theater for hosting us - Look forward to future contributions.
Thanks to all of our fans that came out! We wouldn't exist without you!
Sincerely,
Guy Schingoethe
Managing Director

Yeah Baby! The Texas Chainsaw Musical Opens at Chicago Fringe Tonight
What's up people - TCM running through Sunday.
Guess what? Free Parking next door at the Chicago Community Bank after 5:00 pm. I guess that doesn't work for our 4 pm show on Friday...but it shouldn't be bad then anyway. Enter the lot from 18th street and then the entrance to the theatre is in the back of the EP building - just a few short steps from the lot.
Guess what also? It's a BYOB theatre. Got the confirmation talking to the theater rep at Monday's tech. But here's an added bonus. Old Style is sponsoring the festival so if you BYOB Old Style, you'll get some free swag. So, I don't know about you, but if you're not drinking some kind of micro-brewed English Ale with a widget in the can...bring some Old Style!
What else? Oh yeah - Check me out as Leatherface on Good Day Chicago on Fox yesterday...You can't see the part where I reach for Anna and she slides away...No love for Leatherface!
Click here to see the interview!
Hope to see you there friends and fans! We'll let you know how it goes!
Peace

On September 1-5, 2010, New Millennium Theatre Company (NMTC) presents the must see event of the inaugural Chicago Fringe Festival 2010: The Texas Chainsaw Musical. This new musical parody of the cult film “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” takes audiences through the hot desert highway following the adventures of Sally, her disabled brother Franklin, and their three friends on the worst day of their lives. Short on gas and unfamiliar with the neighborhood, they run into the misunderstood Leatherface, whose attempts to make new friends, despite his best efforts, always seem to end in accidental decapitation. With original music performed live on stage by ‘The Family Band’ featuring Grandpa, The Cook, The Hitchhiker, and Leatherface himself, The Texas Chainsaw Musical will take you on an emotional journey of hilarity giving new meaning to the phrase, ‘Don’t Mess With Texas’. From the disturbed individuals who brought you past Halloween hits like Evil Dead: The Musical and Hack/Slash: Stagefright, cult fans and theatergoers will not want to miss The Texas Chainsaw Musical.
The Texas Chainsaw Musical runs Wed - Sep 1 at 8:30 pm, Thursday - Sep 2 at 10:00 pm, Friday - Sep 3 at - 4:00 pm, Saturday - Sep 4 at 5:30 pm, Sunday - Sep 5 at 7:00 pm at the EP Theater 1820 S Halsted Street http://www.chicagofringe.org.

INTRODUCING THE CULT CULTURE AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARD VIA CHASE COMMUNITY GIVING
Got a movie or TV show you just can’t get enough of?
Wanna see it LIVE?
Vote for New Millennium Theatre Company on the Chase Community Giving Facebook site. Then comment on the page or send us a message re: your vote for the cult classic you’d like to see on stage.
IF NMTC gets to the top 200, then the title with the most votes will be put onstage and you will get a personal invitation to experience your fantasy LIVE.
So, vote now. And share this with your friends!!!
What's this about?
Earlier this year, Chase created an entirely new approach to corporate philanthropy. The program, Chase Community Giving, let people help decide where Chase donated $5 million. Over 500,000 charities from across the country were involved — and the results were extraordinary. Thanks to the involvement of people like you, 100 charities in 31 states are receiving donations from Chase.
Two million people raised their hand to get involved. Millions of votes were cast for thousands of local charities. After two rounds of voting, Chase awarded the top donation of $1 million to Invisible Children — an organization that mobilizes students in the U.S. to advocate for the release of child soldiers in Uganda. The next 5 runners-up each received $100,000 and all 100 charities that made it to the second round received $25,000.
This summer, Chase Community Giving is doing it again. The power of giving is in your hands, so help Chase donate another $5 million!

Fringe-tastic!
Did you hear? If you missed out on the tour de force that was 'The Texas Chainsaw Musical' during either its initial run or its command performance at last year's Flashback Weekend www.flashbackweekend.com you are in luck!
Chicago is finally getting its act together and holding a Fringe Festival of its very own! The first week in September will see productions from all over the Country and all over the World converge on Chicago. And who will be right in the middle? That's right. Leatherface. Keep an eye on www.nmtchicago.org and www.chicagofringe.com for further details, but we are EXTREMELY EXCITED to be one of the few productions chosen for this inaugural event!
Oh, and we got something going on in the next couple weeks called 'Nerdlesque'. Maybe you heard about it. I just have one question for you:
WHO'S THE MAN?
